The 10" × 54" Natural Mineral Tank provides a durable vessel for residential and light-commercial water-softening, filtration, neutralization, ion-exchange, and specialty media systems. Its widely used 10-inch-diameter, 54-inch configuration provides space for approximately 1.5 cubic feet of compatible treatment media when the system is properly designed with the required freeboard.
A standard 2.5-inch top opening provides an interface for a compatible water-treatment control valve or adapter. The tank can be incorporated into equipment using appropriately matched riser tubes, internal distributors, seals, control valves, and plumbing components.
The vessel’s composite FRP construction provides structural strength and corrosion resistance without the rust concerns associated with conventional metal tanks. Its natural off-white finish creates a clean, professional appearance for residential, commercial, OEM, and private-label water-treatment installations.
An included support base helps keep the vessel stable in its required vertical position. Depending on the treatment process and water chemistry, the tank may be used with ion-exchange resin, activated carbon, catalytic carbon, calcite, iron-reduction media, and other compatible filtration materials.
Treatment-media quantity, freeboard, service-flow rate, backwash requirements, and control-valve capacity must be calculated for the intended application. Water-softener grain capacity also depends on resin type, salt dosage, water hardness, iron content, and regeneration settings.
