Its 14-inch-diameter, 65-inch configuration is commonly used in water softeners, activated-carbon filters, calcite neutralizers, ion-exchange equipment, and other backwashing media systems.
A standard 2.5-inch top opening provides an interface for a compatible water-treatment control valve or tank adapter. The tank can be integrated with appropriately sized riser tubes, internal distributors, seals, control valves, and plumbing components.
Composite FRP construction provides structural strength and corrosion resistance without the rust concerns associated with conventional steel vessels. Its natural off-white finish creates a clean, professional appearance for equipment rooms, commercial installations, OEM systems, and private-label water-treatment assemblies.
The included support base helps maintain the vessel in its required vertical position. A 14×65 mineral tank is commonly configured with approximately 3 cubic feet of treatment media, subject to media density, bed-depth requirements, freeboard, and backwash expansion.
Treatment-media volume, service-flow rate, pressure loss, distributor design, and backwash requirements must be calculated for the specific application. The selected control valve must also provide sufficient service and drain-flow capacity for the media and tank diameter.
