The 16" × 65" Natural Mineral Tank provides substantial media capacity for commercial water-softening, filtration, ion-exchange, and specialty media systems. Its 16-inch-diameter, 65-inch configuration is commonly used in equipment requiring greater media volume, increased bed area, and higher treatment capacity than standard residential mineral tanks.
A 2.5-inch top opening provides an interface for a compatible water-treatment control valve or tank adapter. Because 16×65 vessels are also manufactured with 4-inch openings, installers must verify the exact neck size and thread before selecting a valve, adapter, riser tube, or distributor assembly.
Composite FRP construction provides corrosion resistance and structural strength without the rust concerns associated with conventional steel vessels. The natural off-white exterior offers a clean, professional appearance for commercial equipment rooms, OEM systems, pretreatment equipment, and private-label water-treatment assemblies.
An included support base helps maintain the tank in its required vertical position. A 16×65 vessel is commonly configured with approximately 4 cubic feet of compatible treatment media, subject to the selected media, required bed depth, gravel underbed, freeboard, and backwash expansion.
The treatment-media quantity, service-flow rate, pressure loss, distributor configuration, backwash requirement, and control-valve capacity must be calculated for the intended application. The larger tank diameter may require substantial backwash flow, making hydraulic system sizing especially important.
