The 24" × 72" Natural Mineral Tank provides substantial treatment-media capacity for commercial and industrial water-softening, filtration, ion-exchange, and pretreatment systems. Its 24-inch-diameter configuration creates a large media-bed area for applications requiring greater treatment capacity and service flow than smaller mineral tanks.
A 4-inch top opening provides access for a compatible commercial control valve, tank adapter, riser tube, or distributor assembly. Many control valves require a reducer or tank adapter before they can be installed on the 4-inch vessel neck.
Composite FRP construction provides corrosion resistance and structural strength without the rust concerns associated with conventional steel vessels. The natural exterior offers a clean, professional appearance for commercial equipment rooms, filtration skids, OEM systems, and industrial pretreatment installations.
An included standard support base maintains the vessel in its required vertical position. Depending on the treatment process and required freeboard, a 24×72 tank may be configured with approximately 8 to 10 cubic feet of compatible treatment media.
Treatment-media volume, service-flow rate, pressure loss, distributor design, and backwash requirements must be calculated for the specific application. The control valve, supply piping, and drain must provide sufficient flow for the 24-inch tank diameter and selected media.
