The ULP21-2540 Reverse Osmosis Membrane is an ultra-low-pressure membrane element designed for efficient dissolved-solids reduction in commercial and light-industrial water-treatment systems. Its nominal 2.5-inch × 40-inch configuration supports installation in compatible 2540 membrane housings and commercial RO equipment.
Under specified test conditions, the ULP21-2540 delivers a nominal permeate flow of 750 gallons per day, or approximately 2.84 cubic meters per day, with a stable salt-rejection rate of 99%. Its ultra-low-pressure design helps produce treated water at lower feed pressure than many conventional low-pressure membrane elements.
The spiral-wound element provides approximately 30 square feet of active membrane area within a compact commercial format. This combination of membrane area, permeate production, and rejection performance makes it suitable for systems requiring efficient water purification without the footprint of a larger 4040 membrane.
The ULP21-2540 is intended for appropriately pretreated, low-salinity feedwater, including qualifying municipal water, groundwater, and surface water. Proper pretreatment is essential for controlling sediment, hardness, scale, iron, organic fouling, and oxidizing chemicals that could reduce membrane performance and service life.
