The ULP22-8040 Reverse Osmosis Membrane is a high-capacity, ultra-low-pressure membrane element designed for dissolved solids reduction in commercial and industrial water treatment systems. Its standard 8-inch × 40-inch configuration supports installation in compatible 8040 pressure vessels and multi-element reverse osmosis systems.

Under specified test conditions, the ULP22-8040 provides a nominal permeate flow of 12,100 gallons per day (approximately 45.8 cubic meters per day) with a stable salt-rejection rate of 99%. Its ultra-low-pressure design helps generate substantial permeate flow at lower operating pressure than many conventional low-pressure membrane elements.

The spiral-wound element provides approximately 400 square feet of active membrane area and uses a 28-mil feed spacer. This high-capacity design makes it suitable for industrial facilities, commercial water-production equipment and OEM RO systems requiring efficient treatment of properly pretreated, low-salinity feedwater.

The membrane is suitable for qualifying municipal water, groundwater and surface water within the manufacturer’s operating limits. Appropriate pretreatment is essential for controlling sediment, hardness, scale, iron, organic fouling and oxidizing chemicals that could reduce membrane performance or shorten its operating life.
